How Anya Applies Audio Filters at Runtime

Anya doesn't edit the raw music files. Instead, our Lavalink nodes process the live PCM stream through an audio equalizer pipeline. When you issue a filter command, Lavalink recalculates the frequencies dynamically and feeds the modified packets to Discord's voice server. This results in real-time filter changes with zero lag.

Because these filters are calculated on the node side, they require dedicated hardware resources, which is why premium audio filters are optimized for premium servers.

The Most Popular Filters & How to Enable Them

**Bassboost:** Perfect for electronic, hip-hop, and rock tracks. You can enable it using `/filter bassboost`. Anya will instantly increase the gain of low-frequency audio bands.

**Nightcore:** Speeds up the playback speed and raises the pitch of the track, giving it a fast-paced electronic vibe. Enable it via `/filter nightcore`.
