Anya DJ Mode: Restricting Playback Controls to Server Staff
In public Discord servers, letting every member use commands like `/skip`, `/stop`, or `/volume` can lead to chaos. Griefers or trolls can clear the queue or skip songs that other members are enjoying. Anya's DJ Mode is designed to solve this exact problem.
How DJ Mode Works
Anya's DJ Mode is a role-based permission system. When enabled, standard members can still add songs to the queue using `/play`, but they cannot alter the active player state. Actions like pausing, resuming, skipping, setting filters, or changing volume are restricted.
Only users who have a Discord role named "DJ" (or any custom role you select on the dashboard), and server administrators, can use these restricted commands.
Setting Up DJ Mode on the Dashboard
1. Log into anyabot.pro/dashboard and select your server.
2. Navigate to the "Music Config" tab.
3. Toggle the "Enable DJ Mode" slider.
4. Select the custom roles from the dropdown list that you want to authorize as DJs. Click "Save Settings".
Setting Up DJ Mode via Text Commands
Alternatively, you can set up DJ controls directly inside Discord. If you have admin privileges, you can run `/settings djrole @RoleName` to quickly set up your DJ role without opening the browser.
