Security Incident Update: Database Compromise & Apology

Published by

Dear Anya Community,
We recently detected a security incident involving our database server. An automated malicious script scanned and compromised our exposed database port due to weak default configurations. Consequently, some user playlists and liked songs were deleted. We want to clarify that no sensitive personal data was leaked, as Anya only stores public Discord user IDs and playlist references.

How We Fixed It:
Firewall Lockdown: We have completely restricted MongoDB access, closing all public ports and binding database connections to secure private interfaces only. Credentials Revocation: All old database credentials have been revoked and replaced with highly secure, randomized authentication protocols. Infrastructure Hardening: We have implemented continuous intrusion detection and automated backup schedules to prevent future incidents.

We sincerely apologize for the loss of playlist data and any inconvenience caused. We are committed to maintaining the highest security standards to keep your music streaming safe and uninterrupted. Thank you for your continued support!
